I've spent most of my career working on backend services, implementing microservices in Java frameworks. I've also worked across frontend systems in my previous roles with particular time spent with Angular.

    Developing high quality, performant Java applications and implementing modern CI/CD processes to improve go-to-market time for our insurance industry teams.

    Java Developer

    Aer Lingus — Dublin

    Working across frontend and backend systems to migrate customer facing applications to a modern, secure tech stack with fault tolerant integration with third party vendors.

      Expanding my knowledge on modern security threats in distributed systems and best practices on how to mitigate against malicious actors.

    Technical Consultant

    Version 1 — Remote, Spain

    Implementing performance improvements to one of our banking clients, ensuring their SSOT for stock and bonds were as accurate as possible.

  4. 2018 — 2022

    Senior Software Engineer

    Mastercard — Dublin

    Built a fraud prevention greenfield project from requirements gathering through to launch and maintenance, leading to a large decrease in fraudulent approvals among our banking clients.

      As part of my work on the MC Pride committee, I helped organise our presence at Dublin Pride along with promoting diversity across our Dublin office through various events.
