With 9 years experience since graduating with a degree in Computer Science, I've worked for various companies in the banking, finance and insurance industries. While most of my work sees me developing Java-based microservices, in most of my previous roles I've been called in to assist with frontend Angular development where necessary.

I'm passionate about designing and developing well designed, fault tolerant software systems that utilise cutting edge CI/CD and cloud infrastructure where possible.

I've been playing drums since I was 13 years old and having been in many bands in my teenage years, none worked out due to "creative differences", leading me to a life in computers. But I still enjoy putting on headphones in the evening and jamming to songs to unwind.

Outside of work, I still like what I call "fun tech". Building new things using 3D printing, playing with a Rasberry Pi for a fun project, home automation and retro computing. Tinkering with personal projects helps remind me why I fell in love with computers in the first place.
